First Aid at Work
£195 per person +VAT – group concessions available
This three day training course is designed for people who have a certain responsibility at work in a more hazardous or high risk environment or in the voluntary sector. The course aims to provide the learner the knowledge, understanding and skills to feel confident in providing First Aid in an Emergency Situation that may involve various illness and injuries. Requalification for this course will be every three years but can be completed in a two day First Aid at Work Requalification course.
The course will cover all areas from the Emergency First at Work course and other modules such as-
- Recognition and management of a casualty suffering with asthma or hyperventilating
- Recognition and management of a casualty suffering with angina and heart attack
- Recognition and management of a casualty in anaphylactic Shock
- Recognition and management of a casualty having a stroke
- Management of a casualty with poisoning
- Management of a casualty with skeletal injuries such as a fracture
- Management of a casualty with a suspected spinal injury
- Management of a casualty with a head injury
- Management of a casualty with a diabetic problem
- Understand and demonstrate Secondary Survey
